Expos and Open House - January thru July 2016.

Just a little update concerning our expos for the first half of the year. Anita Hathale did a demonstration on the making of Fry Bread and Navajo Tacos, Melinda Redd with your photography and hand-made jewelry, Paul Mantz speaking about the History of the Rifle, Jim Brandt doing a Fast Draw Exhibition, and Garry Mooneyhan, Jr. educating us on the Living History of the Civil War. We had one open house, so far this year, featuring a book discussion and signing by Fred Blackburn. This month, August, there will be another open house featuring Eric Niven discussing his newest book release and signing books. It will be 08/17, from 1pm-4pm. Everything is held at the Welcome Center/Frontier Museum (inside or out side.) In February, we tried to have a snowman contest, but the snow melted too fast. The City Council had a private tour of this Department, which encompasses the Welcome Center, Frontier Museum and Big 4 Tractor Building. Everything has been a great success. Stay tuned for more updates.
